the nostalgic picnic

Close your eyes, feel the breeze of the wind swim through your hair, and the sun bounce off your soft young face. A dog barks. Bubbles float. You’re in an era where you and other kids dream of going to space, where despite the heaviness and chaos in the world (oh boy, there was a lot of it, says mom), there is so much possibility! A picnic blanket is laid out on a lush green lawn. No worries here, at least not now. The radio crackles. The music feeds us. And so many kids are around us too. Who are they? What are their names? Will they be friendly, and will they want to play with us? The warmth of the sun satiates us, but only with a cold lemonade by our side.

Meet for a Nostalgic Picnic at Washington park from 3:30-6:30pm.

Lunch will be served.

Attire: Summer casual, flowers, colors, sun hats, sun glasses, fun dresses, sandals. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

The slumber party

It’s the invite every kid longed for. A slumber-party, at last! A time when goofy has no curfew, a time when secrets would be shared, dancing, the games that are impossible to play alone, dancing, the singing our favorite songs from our favorite mix-tape. The dancing! And pretending that we were rockstars. No, but actually we were rockstars then.

Join us for a slumber party (without the slumber) from 8pm til midnight-thirty at Void Studios.

Dinner and drinks will be served.

Attire: Your favorite evening wear – pajamas, loungewear, robes, nightgowns, onesies, fuzzy slippers, eye masks. Relaxed. Slightly elevated. But no rules here.

Weather?

September is a beautiful month in Colorado! It will likely be warm and sunny, so we’d recommend bringing hats, sunscreen, and a water bottle.

When to arrive and depart?

The main events will take place on Saturday, September 13th. If you’re around and interested, we’re planning for a casual meet up on evening of Friday, September 12th to kick off the weekend :)
